Oakland School Board Elections – Vote by Nov 8, 2022
Candidate Profiles – Who is running for school board? What is their experience? Values? If elected, what are their priorities?

Get engaged and informed about elections for school board members that make important decisions about school funding, facilities, and renewals. We want all of our Oakland families, community members, and youth to make their voices heard and use their voting POWER.
On September 29, FIA parents, and youth from across Oakland public schools
will make important decisions that impact education and opportunity across our city. Voters will select a new Oakland mayor. Voters will select school board candidates to fill three seats in Districts 2,4 and 6.
This is also the first election since Measure QQ passed in Oakland, which will give youth aged 16 and 17 the opportunity to vote in school board elections. FIA youth and parent leaders are meeting with candidates to understand their priorities.
On September 29, FIA and Oakland public schools will co-host a mayoral and school board candidate forum so YOU can meet the candidates and hear their views.
